Welcome
Welcome to my site.
I am an artist working mainly in glass but I am also interested in using ceramics, textiles and jewellery in my work. Recently I have been exploring embroidery and revisiting drawing to find different media for a particular project.
I am fascinated by religious imagery - how it is used and perceived - and it is a theme in my sculptural work.
I use specialist glass in vibrant colours which I fuse and slump in the kiln to make one off plates and bowls as well as glass jewellery. I also cast glass using the ancient art of lost wax casting.
I work as an art technician at a college in Richmond but before that I was promoting cheeses handmade on British farms with the Milk Board but decided change of direction was needed in my life.
I have recently set up a blog for art technicians to share information. See the Links Section to access.
